This was such a fun weekend! The Bug and I arrived at the historic (and haunted) St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio in Friday, June 22. We got a cab to the Van Halen concert where we quickly discovered the AC had stopped working at the AT&T Center. It was quite uncomfortable. Mollie loved the opening act, Kool & The Gang.
Van Halen put on a decent show but Diamond Dave, I am convinced, was highly inebriated. He was slurring words and rambling about aimlessly, telling jokes that were older than me. I could understand, after this show, why the concert was cut short. San Antonio was one of their last stops before they called off the tour. It was a decent concert but certainly not worth two months of braces payments.
